With over 12 years of experience and a longstanding interest in wildlife conservation and photography, we have created some outstanding wildlife safaris in the Western Himalayas.
Our team consists of wildlife experts from the region with years of experience, whether behind

With extensive knowledge, logistical expertise, and first-hand understanding, we are snow leopard sighting specialists in the Western Himalayas, with an appetite for unique, seamless travel that guarantees extraordinary wildlife encounters. Snow Leopard Pros is a professional wildlife safari company based in Ladakh, Western Himalayas. We specialize in wildlife tours, bird watching, and snow leopard sightings. We offer unique wildlife safaris and luxury travel in the Himalayas. With a record number of sightings each year, Ladakh has become the snow leopard capital of the world. Gulzar Hussain and Mohd Imran, our naturalists and wildlife experts on this trip, are two leading young local naturalists from these parts. Their childhood and adult life has been spent exploring this remote and harsh region with a passion for its remarkable and delicate ecosystem. Their photo database and stories relating to some of the more spectacular shots are the perfect backdrop to evenings spent around the fire while in camp.

Gulzar Hussain
Gulzar Hussain is a leading naturalist and a young conservationist from Ladakh Western Himalayas. His childhood and adult life has been spent exploring this remote and harsh region with a passion for its remarkable and delicate ecosystem. Gulzar primarily focuses on the conservation of Snow Leopard and Himalayan Brown Bears. Gulzar is the Founder Trustee of Himalayan Brown Bear Trust, is to work for the welfare of the Himalayan Brown Bear Species.

Gulzar leads Snow Leopard and Brown Bear Tours through his travel company Snow Leopard Pros and a portion of the money from the tours goes in the conservation and community welfare work . He has recently co- authored an extensively researched guide book Journey through paradise (Kashmir,Ladakh & Jammu). This book can be currently found on the shelves of leading book stores across the country. He is the founder of CHANRI ( Changthang High Altitude Research Institute Puga Changthang. The pioneering concept behind this initiative is for underprivileged, vulnerable Nomadic kids and youth to have access to better health and education along with creative arts and conservation projects. He is involved with various local and international projects involving promotion and awareness of authentic pashmina and to create livelihood projects around it. The Knowledge and intimacy with which he talks about his land and himalayas makes you immediately fall in love with the Ladakhi People, its wildlife, history & culture. His photo database and stories relating to some of the more spectacular shots are the perfect backdrop to evenings spent around the fire when in camp. Gulzar has also exhibited his work on both national & international platforms. He is currently working on a high quality picture book and a film on the nomadic community of Ladakh Western Himalayas.
